Karina Pogosyan is an employment and human rights lawyer at Achkar Law. Karina represents employees and employers in all employment law related matters, including wrongful terminations, constructive dismissals, professional disciplinary proceedings and human rights violations.
Prior to joining the firm, Karina completed a Law Practice Program work placement at the Ontario College of Trades, where she assisted litigation lawyers in prosecuting provincial criminal offences at the Ontario Court of Justice and professional discipline cases against College members before the College’s own internal Professional Discipline panel. While at the Ontario College of Trades, Karina also provided effective support to solicitors, assisting with legal research, statutory interpretation, employment contract review and drafting.
Karina graduated from the University of Ottawa law school, where she honed her oral and written advocacy skills by participating in a number of moot and negotiation competitions, including the Hicks Morley Labour Law Moot.
Outside of work, Karina enjoys learning new languages, trying her hand at new recipes, and travelling.
